AbstractThe spread of Covid-19 has an impact on changing learning patterns from offline to online or hybrid types. This phenomenon intends fill the gap that this research analyzes both and during pandemic Covid19. The pattern was investigated obtain information about characteristics pattern, advantages, disadvantages, benefits in classroom interaction. aims study are find out types teacherstudent interaction (IRF patterns) learning, describe IRF each interaction, identify frequently appear. participants were 18 mathematics science class students a private high school Surabaya, Indonesia. main data teacher-students English class, collected by observing recording they analyzed applying theory Sinclair Coulthard. results analysis showed there eleven kinds exchanges learning. In initiation-response-feedback (IRF) balanced between teacher students, while more dominant providing explanations initiations, less active. Therefore, implicates how implement appropriate communication teaching process.
